Our Bike Lane Billboards towing vehicle is a motorized tricycle. It is legally recognized by the State of Arizona as a motorized bicycle, legal to drive anywhere a standard bicycle is used. No special permits, licensing, or insurance are required. We can easily travel at any speed 20 mph or less. Traveling between 15-20 mph is a great speed to cover a lot of distance with a mobile billboard. Utilizing an engine allows the operator to stay attentive and increases safety.

Stable in fairly high winds: When I motored back to base after the swap meet, winds blew steady at 21 mph, gusting to 28 mph. At a 20 mph road speed, there was minimal steering input from the sail effect of the high winds. This was an excellent test of the unit’s stability. At times I headed into the wind, simulating 41 mph wind conditions. The real test was the wind blowing and gusting to 28 mph from the sides. The sign’s shock absorbers took up the energy well and the ballast weights held the trailer firmly in place, lead by the motorized trike. Stability, visibility, and mobility... Our motorized bicycle (tricycle) is pictured above on the left. It achieves 150 mpg using the engine alone. The motor is a highly efficient, ultra-low emissions engine. It is 4 stroke, using very little amounts of oil for lubrication. It is easily turned off for completely silent operation inside of buildings and in parks. This vehicle can be pedaled independently of the engine.
